Commitment – to a goal, something you want to achieve, something important to you. Make it a positive commitment. Not a negative one like I want to lose weight but positive, like I want to get into that fabulous dress or pair of jeans I bought.
Courage – the courage to aim for something difficult. Note, I didn’t say complicated. It could be simple but still difficult. The courage to follow through. The courage to make a positive change to your life.
Consistency – not that you’ve built up the courage to change and commuted to it with a plan, next comes consistency. Working on that goal every day, regularly day in, day out. Even when your motivation levels fall. Remember water flow easily downhill to the bottom. People flow downhill like water, gradually reaching the bottom. Don’t be like that, turn gravity on its head and flow upstream like the salmon.
